Your Hair Is Growing

In a dream…

As I looked in the mirror, I could see my hair growing. It was just past my waist. I was excited and amazed at how long it had grown.

Now we all know that hair is a very sensitive subject for a lot of people; women in particular. And we’ve gone to great lengths in search of our identity as we’ve struggled with who we are…as a result of our hair.

Anyway, when I thought of “hair growing,” I couldn’t help but be reminded of Samson in Judges, chapter sixteen, verse twenty-two:

But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.

In this verse, which may be a very familiar passage of scripture to most of us, we know that Samson’s long hair was a sign that he was a Nazirite, wholly given to God (which meant no razor had ever been used on his head because he had been set apart to God since birth). And it was a sign of his trust and belief in God, and His commandments.

Now we may not have taken an oath to become a Nazirite as Samson had, but we did, nonetheless, take an oath to trust and obey the Lord’s commandments (when we were saved by His grace).

And since then, some of us may have done some things that we shouldn’t have done, like Samson, by telling Delilah the secret of his strength. And ultimately we, like Samson, have since been overpowered and subdued by the enemy.

You know that one time too many you said something that you shouldn’t have said; that one time too many you did something that you shouldn’t have done; that one time too many you went somewhere you know you shouldn’t have gone; only to find yourself wrapped up and tied up…defeated.

And the Lord had departed from him.

And the Lord had given you over to the enemy.

While He knew that if his hair had been cut, he would become as weak as any other man; he had yet to come to the understanding that the Lord was his strength. You see, often times we think that we can continue to do what we’re doing and the Lord will be there. Not so! While we understand that the Lord will never leave nor forsake us, we have yet to come to the understanding that the Lord’s presence in our lives is reflective of our obedience to Him.

Now, with that being said, the good news is…the bible tells us that before long...Samson’s hair began to grow back!

So, I’ve come to share with you:

The interpretation of the dream…

After all that you’ve been through, like Samson, your hair is growing! The presence of the Lord is returning to you! Your strength is returning to you!

Amen!?

Now you’re able to overtake and subdue the enemy.

Like Samson, God’s going to give you the strength, the power to destroy your enemy.

Your greatest victory yet…is about to happen!

This is the will of God concerning you.
