You Are On The Verge Of A Breakthrough!

I was desperate. I needed a word from the Lord. I needed a breakthrough.

There was something going on in the spirit, but I didn’t know what. I felt like I couldn’t push forward. I couldn’t take another step. I couldn’t pray another prayer; I had prayed all I could pray. I had done all that I could do. I had stood for as long as I could stand. There was nothing else I could do. I had had it.

Something had to give.

I needed the Lord to do something.

I needed a word from the Lord.

Desperately, I went to seek His face. I stood. I waited. My ears were attentive to His voice. My eyes waited with expectancy as I looked for Him.

I just needed a word; just “one” word…from the Lord.

I was extremely uncomfortable; my spirit was restless.

All day and all night there was a tug-of-war going on between my flesh and my spirit. I had no idea what was going on. All I knew was I needed to get in the presence of the Lord.

So I pressed.

Then He spoke.

“In nine months…” He said.

And immediately, the tears burst forth and there was a breakthrough in my spirit. He reminded me of what’s going on in the spirit; a reminder of where I am…

I’m pregnant.

His words confirmed what He’s doing in me; what He’s birthing in my life, and immediately the enemy is defeated.

Instantly, the tug-of-war is over!

He revealed the tug-of-war was because the enemy was trying to stop me from doing what God has called me to do; the baby is growing.

And the breakthrough launches me to a new level in God!

The tears continued to roll down my face as I allowed the Lord to have His way with me.

I couldn’t help but be reminded of God giving David the victory in 2 Samuel 5:20. (When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king of Israel, they mobilized all their forces to capture him.) The Lord gave the enemy into David’s hand; David called the place Baal-perazim because he said, “The LORD did it! He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” He named the place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”).

My enemies had mobilized against me, but had been defeated; given into my hands!

I am on another level!

Glory be to God – “The Lord of the Breakthrough!”

You’re uncomfortable and restless because you are on the verge of a breakthrough!

The tug-of-war between your flesh and your spirit is the enemy trying to keep you from moving forward.

But God is getting ready to give you the victory!

God is getting ready to burst through in your life!

He is getting ready to take you to another level!

The baby is growing.

You’ve outgrown the place that you’re in.

You can’t stay there.

It’s time to go to another level.
